Tomomi Sayuda

Tomomi Sayuda

Tomomi Sayuda is a Japanese interactive designer based in London. She has studied and worked in a variety of creative fields such as product, craft, graphic, interactive and set design in London and Tokyo. Her interactive projects are concerned with culture and humor. She has recently shown her work in UK, Germany, USA and Japan.

Her work is about human interaction with a sense of humour and culture. Humour is a constant inspiration in her work, this enables to draw many psychological conclusions. This is because laughing, is one of the biggest human reactions in our daily life and makes our life more positive. She is interested in how humour can make an impact among people all over the world.  The most important part of her work is how someone responds to interacting with the piece.  Recording these reactions becomes part of the process and completes the design. Her representations include sculpture, moving image, product design, performance art, sound, installation, programming and sensors.

She has recently shown work in the UK, Germany, USA and Japan.
